Candidate Promise

Our Candidate Promise defines the expectations for all applicants seeking a position within Future Schools Trust. The fundamental values enumerated below are in harmony with the overarching purpose and mission of Future Schools Trust, ensuring continual success.

In our role as an in-house recruitment team, we pledge the commitments outlined below to our candidates, assuring them of an optimal experience as they embark on the application process to commence their careers with FST.

Caring for our applicants

Every application submitted to Future Schools  Trust undergoes a fair and thorough review process.
We prioritise the secure handling of all data, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
Our application procedure is designed to take approximately 20-30 minutes, ensuring the collection of vital information in compliance with safer recruitment policies governed by the Keeping Children Safe in Education legislation.
Shortlisting and interview arrangements are conducted promptly, with all candidates receiving constructive feedback by phone or email within a reasonable timeframe. Personalised interview feedback is offered whenever possible.
Candidates demonstrating excellent performance during interviews will be considered for future opportunities even if not successful initially. They will also be added to a talent pool.
Recognising the challenges of seeking a new role, FST provides ample opportunities to familiarise oneself with the Trust before committing to an application.
We are committed to maintaining recruitment processes free of unconscious bias, ensuring that protected characteristics play no role in our decisions. We believe in fostering an environment where candidates can authentically be themselves, valuing diversity of thought, opinion, and background to create an inclusive and enriching work environment in our schools.

Opportunities for all

We take pride in our people-centric approach, extending our commitment to both staff and applicants. In our interview settings, we strive to create a comfortable environment, ensuring candidates can perform at their best. To facilitate this, we share detailed information before the interview, allowing candidates to adequately prepare.
Mastering the art of interviewing is a valuable skill. To assist you in your preparation, we provide an array of tips, tricks, and advice that candidates can leverage.
Our goal is to expand our pool of talented teachers. We offer a successful teacher-training program and are dedicated to nurturing the teachers of tomorrow. During your interview, you may be asked about your interest in a teaching career, and if this is something you wish to explore, rest assured that you will receive support.

Collaborating successfully

We collaborate with candidates who have shown interest in or applied for a role with FST, ensuring they are well-informed and satisfied with any potential opportunities.
Our collaboration extends to working closely with the hiring team and shortlisted candidates, aiming to provide ample notice for interviews.
Respect is paramount in our interactions with all candidates and colleagues.
As impartial participants in the hiring process, we strive to ensure that every candidate has a fair chance to secure any role they are interviewed for.
